Be that as it may, it’s a pretty fun video and worth a squint. Billy Bob Ray-Ray Johnson, the Chronicle’s in-house food editor gives the video a solid 8.5 cause it has a good beat and you can dance to it. Kind of like Lady Ga Ga’s stuff.
To that we say: to each red-blooded American, his or her own. After all, isn’t the freedom to honestly say you think your apple pie is better* than your mother-in-law’s what this country is all about?
“We were thrilled with the response these new items received while testing in select markets and look forward to sharing them with all of our guests nationwide,” said Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax, co-founders and co-CEOs of California Pizza Kitchen. “The introduction of natural chicken, turkey, pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage and Canadian bacon on our menu is also something we are very proud of and happy to have as a mainstay in our kitchens.”
The top 10 finalists were asked to create a short video to convince America and the judges that their firehouse – and recipe – are the best and most deserving of the $10,000 prize.
At any rate, now through July 29, America is invited to vote online for their favorite video — which means everyone here in the Sky Valley is obligated to vote for Snohomish County Fire # 26’s video/recipe.
So go ahead, choose your favorite recipe and then send it to us! Tell us where you got it (or if it’s your own creation) and why you love it. We’ll post the recipes we receive this weekend, just in time for all the barbeques and picnics. Send recipes to editor adrianne.murchison@patch.com. We’re practically drooling already!
