Organized by the Rotary Club of Etobicoke to help charity initiatives, Ribfest is one of the largest Canada Day celebration events in Toronto, with a crowd of 150,000 expected to attend over the weekend.
But the race to be number one might be a tough one with last year’s defending champ, Camp 31, already drawing a full line-up of people only a couple of hours into the opening day.
Aside from learning to play and inheriting the musical gene from
his father, Rocco Jr. has studied guitar under Supertramp’s Carl
Verheyen and jazz/blues great Scott Henderson while attending the
Guitar Institute in Hollywood, Calif.

The Head Honchos recently released a seven-song EP that mixes
some original tunes — “Whiskey Devil,” “Lucky’s Train,” and “Good
Love” — with a few classic cover songs, including a smokin’ take
on Freddie King’s “Going Down.”
